A 19-slide presentation on the issue of accepting refugees. It introduces the definition of a refugee as a person who flees persecution based on race, religion, or political or ideological differences, along with various causes such as war, and presents the Dublin Regulation and crimes by refugees as problems with acceptance. As reasons to accept refugees, it cites obligations under international law and humanitarianism, an increase in the working-age population as seen in Sweden, and long-term economic benefits identified by several research institutes, and quotes the Korean government's position on the 2018 controversy over Yemeni refugees on Jeju Island.
As reasons against, it covers negative perceptions in Europe shown in Pew Research Center surveys and fear of crime. Based on Korea's acceptance rate of only 0.04 refugees per 1,000 people, it proposes changing public perceptions, presenting the economic benefits, and stricter refugee screening and punishment of brokers as solutions.
